The Importance of the Liposuction Doctor in the Success of Liposuction

Liposuction is actually a very simple process by which a cannula is inserted under the skin to remove fat by vacuum aspiration. However, the technique involved requires a great deal of tenacity and experience lest the cannula strays in the surrounding tissues and creates life-threatening damage. Hence, the importance of the liposuction doctor.

A 35 year old woman went for an abdomen liposuction surgery. There had been some 10 liters of fat removed from the abdomen and thighs region in over two hours. The patient all of a sudden goes into deep shock; when treatment is given to counteract it, it is found that her abdomen has been perforated in at least three places. An emergency surgery is conducted to seal the perforations and the patient survives. This too, can happen!
