The Truth about Cellulite and Liposuction

Cellulite is the ugly word used to describe the bumpy looking fat most often women get on their bodies, it is often referred to as “cottage cheese” because of the bumpy or bulging look. Cellulite is so noticeable because it forms on the layer of fat closest to the skin. It’s the expansion of fat cells that result in collagen fibers, in turn creating stretching and wrinkling of the skin visible to the human eye.

Collagen fibers are also commonly referred to as connective tissue. Our bodies have three layers of fat. And the collagen fibers surround and enclose the fat deposits which then allow them to poke through and be seen. From there, the remaining two layers of fat are not established and routine, and are more in-depth than the concern of cellulite and liposuction as a method of visibly reducing it.

It is important to keep in mind that cellulite and liposuction do not always go hand in hand. Cellulite may or may not improve through the procedure of liposuction. In fact, in some instances, liposuction can actually make cellulite worse. This is vital information when trying to decide if the loss of cellulite and liposuction procedures is right for you. This is an important decision and there are various other treatments available to deal with tough cellulite.

Alternatives

Another popular less invasive treatment for the elimination of Cellulite is Endermologie. This is an alternative to cellulite and liposuction which is a much more involved and invasive surgery to remove the undesired bumpy look of fat under the skin commonly found on women’s legs, hips, and buttocks.

Endermologie is a process created by a French man as a way to treat his injuries. It is a vacuum procedure that essentially rolls and presses on the fat under the skin while stretching the skin so that the fat is not as visible. Unfortunately, the results of Endermologie are generally found to be only temporary and require ongoing treatment sessions to maintain the results.

As with any procedure there are always benefits and risks that must be weighed to decide what is right for you. Cellulite and liposuction is no exception, cost, complications, and effectiveness are among the many considerations that you need to look at with your doctor before deciding if this is a worthwhile way to remove cellulite and liposuction is the best method to remove cellulite for you.
